Slogans help us communicate

Big businesses, newspaper sellers and political parties have something in common - they all know the power of good slogans. The early church knew this too, they had a great slogan:

Jesus is Lord!

As Alan Hirsch has pointed out, this is a wonderful slogan because it's brief (just three words) yet encapsulates a powerful truth. It's easy to remember, easy to pass on, and difficult to ignore. Yet it says so much about Jesus, and about his place in our lives.

Can we come up with some other great slogans? How about these as a first attempt?

Disciples follow

Go, and go deep

Life needs space

Church lives!

Challenge is good

These are meant to encapsulate the essence of discipleship, mission, good leadership, the nature of church, and the need to attempt difficult things. Some of you will recognise the six forgotten ways here. If you have other suggestions to encapsulate these ideas or others involving following Jesus, please leave a comment. There are no wrong answers here, so have a go.
