Inviting some friends

I'm sending the link to my friends today with the covering message below. Whether you know me or not, please feel free to download a copy of JDMC to read or discuss. And feel equally free to pass it on to your own friends as well.

This message is going out to a group of dear friends. Please forgive my failure to write to you all individually, it's just so much easier for me to send the same text to everyone.

I wanted to let you know that JDMC is now available for free download. The booklet is an attempt to condense the main points of Alan Hirsch's The Forgotten Ways in a concise and accessible form. It's intended to facilitate discussion by small groups of people working together, but it should also be helpful for individual study. I hope you'll enjoy it and find it challenging and helpful.

JDMC outlines six ways that the church has partly or entirely forgotten. They are Jesus at the centre - Becoming disciples - Outward and integrated - Gifts for building - A living organism - and More than community. In the long history of the Church, whenever they have been present and active together, the church has grown explosively. The six ways are not a guarantee of rapid growth, but weakness in any one of these areas will always be a serious hindrance.

JDMC comes with a copyright that encourages you to use, modify, reproduce, distribute and even charge for the material in any form you wish. My hope is that this will enable it to be widely used and shared without hindrance.
